Midsummer Herbal Medicine Walk
Thursday 18th June 2020, 10am to 12am
Location: Lowndes Park, Chesham (meeting at the park’s bandstand at 9.50am)
What better way to celebrate Midsummer than with a herbal walk, led by your local medical herbalist. Did you know that herbs gathered at midnight on Midsummer’s Eve were believed to have unparalleled potency! Some of the more traditional herbs gathered included St. John’s wort, plantain, yarrow, mugwort, vervain, lavender, ivy and mistletoe.
Join me on Thursday 18th June in Chesham and learn more about the herbal folklore of Midsummer’s Eve, our local medicinal plants and their current uses in a modern apothecary. We will meet at Lowndes Park bandstand at 9.45am, from where we will set off at 10am promptly. Bookings are essential!
